| Swimming, snorkeling & sunbathing at the Irides area Irides has a salt water swimming pool ideal for fun and relaxation. Irides is located right next to turquoise sea and it is just a few steps from the pool to the sea. The sea side at Irides is a bit rocky, that's why it is recommended to wear watershoes to protect yourself. When you bring your snorkeling gear, you can see lots of small fishes. Next to our pool we have created shaded areas with sunbeds, also on the beach in front we have sunbeds with umbrellas. |

| Walking From Irides it is really nice to make small walks. You can walk in the direction Vagia or in the direction to Souvala for about 2 km right next to the sea. Go early in the morning and watch the sunrise behind Athens on the mainland. For the more experienced walkers you can walk up to towards the forest of Agious or towards the hill of Palaia Chora, where you have amazing panoramic views. Or you can climb the highest mountain on Aegina, Mount Oros (532 m). On Aegina island you can find lots of nice tracks. A walk to the Eliones, a beautiful area with olive trees that are thousands of years old (2000-3000 years) is highly recommended. If you would like to walk with a guide, we can make arrangements for you. Have in mind that in the summer months it may be too hot to make big walks in day time. Plan your walks in the early hours of the day. April, May, September & October are perfect for walking. Especially early spring is beautiful as you can enjoy the green colours & the flower varieties on our island. |
